Jewish learning is something that you are really on your own to do. There are many things that you can do. I recommend either taking a class that is offered at the colleges, or setting up a study group of your own. A bunch of JCSCs this year set up our own conference call and did some learning that way. Really take the hour for yourself to study something that you would like to learn about.
Supervision is the opportunity to learn from someone who has more experience. This year the Program Director was the supervisor, but next year it will be the Director. You will have weekly meetings to touch base and catch up on the programs that you are doing. It is a chance to make sure that everything is on track, a place to ask questions, and get support.
